McCallie Beats Baylor 12-6 to Advance to Spring Fling
Chattanooga-(WDEF) The McCallie baseball team beat rival Baylor 12-6 in game three of their quarterfinal state playoff series on Thursday.
With the win, the Blue Tornado advance to Spring Fling in Murfreesboro, while the Red Raiders see their season come to an end.
McCallie took a 2-1 lead into the third inning when they exploded for seven runs.
Cameron Costo had a 2 RBI base hit in the inning.
Baylor fought back in the bottom of the third with four runs.
Teddy Lepcio and Cole Holland had RBI base hits for the Red Raiders in the third.
But McCallie pushed home three more runs to win the game 12-6.
