McCallie Prepares to Host Vols QB Commit George MacIntyre of Brentwood Academy

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) McCallie welcomes Vols commit George MacIntyre to town this week.
The Brentwood Academy senior quarterback is listed as one of the top recruits in the country.
Big Blue beat him twice last season, so they’d love a repeat performance on Friday.

When you have a future Vols quarterback coming to your high school stadium for a game, how can you not be excited?
Said McCallie head coach Joel Bradford:”Yeah I mean Georgia is obviously an elite quarterback. Makes the guys a little more focused.”
Said linebacker Cooper Gentle:”Especially at linebacker it adds excitement. You are going to be dealing with a five-star quarterback. You are going to be the one responsible.”
So what makes MacIntyre a five star type quarterback?
Said Bradford:”Just the way the ball comes out of his hand. He can deliver the ball deep.”
Said Gentle:”MacIntyre is really elusive, and he performs well under pressure.”
MacIntyre is listed at 6’5, so his height comes in handy too.
Said defensive back Carson Lawrence:”Definitely gives him a lot of great angles to throw the ball. He can throw from really any angle.”
Said Bradford:”I think he can get his eyes on his reads a lot quicker. Sometimes if you are shorter it might be a little bit messy with guys moving and all that.”
Reporter:”Ralph Potter is your defensive coordinator. Has he been on edge this week?”
Said Bradford:”He’s always on edge. I’ll say that. (chuckles) But yeah. The usual. I think he’s always ready. I think all the fundamentals we preach on the pass rush really comes into existence this week because you have to be disciplined in how you do it.”
