McKamey GOODS partnership to provide low-cost pet supplies
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — McKamey Animal Center (MAC) has entered a partnership to help share low-cost resources to the Greater Chattanooga area.
MAC’s partnership is with Greater Good Charities and the GOODS Program. Local non-profits and other pet-related groups can apply for the partnership as well.
The GOODS Program provides MAC with donations of pet food, litter and supplies. MAC then distributes those items to Chattanooga food pantries and pet owner support groups.
This week, MAC received 26 pallets, or 15,000 pounds, of pet food and supplies.
MAC says this partnership helps local animal rescues and pantries “stretch their dollars further and impact even more pets and people.”
Now, they are accepting applications for new program partners for 2024.
Those interested in being a partner can visit MAC’S website.
If a group meets partnership requirements, MAC will notify groups when they receive donations.
