McKee Foods Announces Expansion

Chattanooga (WDEF) Officials with McKee Foods laid out their expansion plans Wednesday morning to Hamilton County Commissioners.

The Collegedale maker of Little Debbie’s products will spend more than $100 Million dollars.

It should generate 50 new jobs over the next five years.

The expansion includes new equipment for manufacturing and a new conference center and office building.

McKee is asking the county for a pilot program.

There wasn’t any initial opposition from commissioners Wednesday.

They should vote on the deal next week.
