McMinn Central Upsets Brainerd 26-22

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) McMinn Central upset Brainerd 26-22 on Thursday night to get their first region victory in four years. The Chargers got a 27 yard touchdown pass from Novice Cox to Darius Carden to go up 7-0 in the second quarter. The Panthers then scored on a 55-yard TD reception by Montez Deloney with 11 seconds left in the half. A two point try failed, and the Chargers led it 7-6 at the break. Brainerd needed a win to secure a home playoff game. Now the Panthers need Red Bank to lose to Loudon on Friday in order to get a home playoff date.
