McMinn County investigates shooting

ATHENS, Tennessee (WDEF) – McMinn County deputies are investigating a shooting that took place Monday morning.

It happened at a home on County Road 82.

Sheriff Joe Guy posted that the homeowner shot a male suspect who was trying to assault him.

The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital.
