MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A nonprofit in Athens, Tennessee has faced a major loss, and the ministry is now raising funds through a GoFundMe.

Grace and Mercy Ministries says the Shower Bus ministry is one of their partners.

The Shower Bus offers free showers, meals and clothes to those without a home, according to the GoFundMe.

The bus caught fire and was destroyed on March 1.

This fundraiser is meant to help the ministry purchase another bus to continue providing showers to those in need.

“Unfortunately, this bus and the staff are all that some people living on the streets have,” the fundraiser reads.
