McMinn County woman arrested after stabbing 3 women
MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A McMinn County woman has been arrested and charged after stabbing three other women.
The McMinn County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to a stabbing report, December 19, 2024.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 750 just after 10:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, deputies found 3 women injured, with the suspect, Laurel Williams, detained on the floor by a male.
According to MCSO, Williams was living at the residence, but due to her drug use, she was asked to move out.
In response, she went out to a nearby barn, returned to the residence, then the stabbings began.
Sheriff Joe Guy stated, “What made the situation worse was there were several children present who witnessed the incident.”
All three victims were taken to a local hospital for serious injury treatment.
Williams was arrested and taken to the McMinn County Jail.
She’s being charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, and is being held on a $45,000 bond.
