Medical Examiner Ruling on Missing UTC Student in January

Chattanooga (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Medical Examiner has ruled on the cause of death of a missing UTC student.

Ali A. Ali had been missing for several weeks, before his body was discovered on McLellan Island in January.

Findings consistent with hypothermia were present, temperatures had been as low as 20 degrees during those days. 

Toxicological testing was negative.

It was at the water’s edge with no signs of foul play.
