Meigs County shooting investigation

Decatur, TN (WDEF) – A shooting in Meigs County left one person dead and one in critical condition Wednesday night.

The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office say the shooting was reported early in the morning on Moore Cemetary Road.

Timothy Johnson was reported dead.

His nephew Larry Johnson is now in the hospital.

The cause of the incident is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
