Members of Omega Psi Phi are Raising Money with a Summer Car Wash
Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) The men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. are beating the heat all summer 16 with their annual car wash.
For the second summer in a row, the Eta Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi is washing cars to help raise money. Every Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the organization sets up at the Auto Zone parking lot on East 3rd street.
The best part is there’s no set price to get your car washed, but donations are always welcomed. “I think what brings people to our cause in particular, they see a group of young black men trying to do something,” said UTC communications major, Julian Robinson Parks, “Washing cars, any kind of regular service, you know people like that.”
The members of Omega Psi Phi will be washing cars on East 3rd every Saturday for the rest of the summer, so there’s still plenty of time to stop by.
Parks said the money raised helps fund local non-for-profit organizations, as well as events on campus throughout the school year.
