Memorial Hospital Expansion

The new tower is part of Memorial Health Care System’s master facility plan.

The 318 million dollar expansion and renovation project will update Memorial’s facilities at both the Glenwood and Hixson campuses.

Hospital leaders celebrated today by signing and then hoisting the last steel beam into place at their North Tower.

Jim Hobson, President and CEO at Memorial Hospital, says, "Our heart center will be a new outpatient center and have all the latest technology and state of the art capabilities as well as the patient tower. It will bring all the services together in a very convenient and efficient way to make certain that we provide the best care for our patients."

The new North Tower, holding the heart and vascular center, will open next summer.
