Dr. Tom Frieden, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,"Not infectious when he boarded the plane, we have checked 100 per cent of the people leaving Liberia for fever, he did not have fever, anybody with fever is not allowed to board the plane."
However he is still in isolation in a Dallas hospital and sources tell CBS News his family members are not allowed have visitors until the middle of October.
M.D Anderson, M.D. Infectious Diseases, Memorial Hospital, "I really don’t think we are getting carried away I think that the consequences of an undiagnosed patient being out in the community and potentially spreading it could be really bad"
Dr Anderson a former president of Chattanooga Medical Society says this is a very real situation but one that does not shock him due to the number of rising cases in West Africa and the amount of flights coming and going from the infected areas.
Now Memorial Hospital have also confirmed they will be holding an Ebola training exercise tomorrow to make sure all staff are ready just in case.
"Personal protective equipment and also how to take it off as in Africa many people we think may have got contaminated or infected trying to appropriate gear off so we are trying to get all our people ready for that"
10 more CDC staff arrived in Texas Thursday including five epidemic intelligence service officers, a public health adviser and a communications officer to work with Duncan and his family while in isolation.
2 vaccines are in human testing to stop Ebola but there is still no treatment for the disease.
