Memphis mother arrested after loaded gun found on 6-year-old

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A mother was arrested in Memphis after her 6-year-old son was found in school with a loaded gun.

The mother, Ke’erinie King is facing charges of child abuse, child neglect or endangerment, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Reports say a school resource officer found the 6 year old passing the gun around to other students in class.

Authorities said the gun was reported to be stolen, and was loaded.

King told investigators she had purchased the gun from a stranger.
