Menifee gets 25 years for killing man who helped raise him during a robbery
He still faces another murder charge from when he was out on bond
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A judge has sentenced Marvin Menifee to 25 years in a three year old murder case.
A jury convicted him of criminally negligent homicide and especially aggravated robbery in March.
Prosecutors say he shot Alfred Pitmon four times at a home on Seventh Avenue.
Pitmon was described as a small time marijuana dealer, but he had helped raise Menifee.
Menifee has another murder charge pending against him.
He is accused of committing a drive by shooting while he was out on bond for the Pitmon murder.
