A Message from Usher to Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Singer and actor Usher Raymond has a message for his hometown of Chattanooga.
He is returning to town on Friday for a concert at Dalewood Middle School where he attended on Friday evening.
It is part of a national concert series, the State Farm Neighborhood Sessions.
The program brings national performing artists back to their old neighborhoods to coincide with a community project.
So far, on June 4th, Jennifer Lopez supported 5 organizations with a concert in the Bronx, including the Lopez Family Foundation which works with women and children.
And on Sept. 1st, Toby Keith supported three organizations in the Norman, Oklahoma area, including Serve Moore, which was founded after the devastating 2013 tornado in the suburb of Moore, Oklahoma.
Now Usher is asking for Chattanoogans to help him support art projects in local elementary schools.
Chattanooga, go to the Tennessee Pavilion tomorrow from 5-7pm and donate art supplies. Info:https://t.co/Zxv6su1B1v pic.twitter.com/31CEm7Xi3t
