Microbrewery ordinance passes in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Cleveland Council voted on Monday to create a craft beer restaurant permit for the city.

The Cleveland Daily Banner reports that the ordinance defines a craft beer restaurant as “a restaurant whose business includes the retail sale of craft beer manufactured on the premises.”

The ordinance was created with a specific restaurant in mind.

Smit Patel wants to open an Indo-American restaurant and micorbrewery in Cleveland.

The loction would be on 25th Street.

The microbrewery ordinance sill must pass a second reading in two weeks.
