Military and City memorial for fallen from Chattanooga shooting
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – There will be a memorial service on August 15th in memory of the Sailor and four Marines killed July 16 in Chattanooga.
It’s a joint service between the Marine Forces Reserve, Navy Reserve and the City of Chattanooga.
Some of the big names that will be there are
Secretary of Defense Ash Carter, Governor of Tennessee Bill Haslam, Sen. Lamar Alexander, Sen. Bob Corker, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and City of Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke. The service will honor the fallen service members and express appreciation to the Chattanooga Police Department and emergency responders and thank the community for its support.It will be Saturday the 15th at the McKenzie Arena at 2 p.m.
There will only be seating for 8,500 people and it will be first come, first serve.
