UPDATE: Missing Child Returns Home Safe

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department says Twayne Benford has returned home safely. The missing person report is cancelled.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department is looking for 13 year old Twayne Benford of Chattanooga.

Benford is described as 5’2″, weighing 75 pounds, and has shoulder length dreads with blonde tips. Police say he was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and slide shoes.

According to police, he left home on foot around 3pm on Saturday, July 16, 2016 because he didn’t want to be disciplined. Police also say that he has a history of leaving home without permission.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them: 698-2525.
