MLK Day Events Around Chattanooga

Hundreds will hit the streets today for the Martin Luther King Day Parade here in Chattanooga.

Here’s a list of some of the MLK Day events around the city.

  • Southern Adventist University will send out students to 40 locations around Chattanooga to perform community service today, in honor of MLK from 9:30am to 1pm.
  • At Noon, the Salvation Army’s Recreate café hosts the Dreamers in Action luncheon, offering people from different backgrounds a place to talk, dream, and share a meal together.
  • Mark Making, a local arts group, unveils a new King mural at the corner of Glass Street and Dodson Avenue at 1pm.
  • The Unity Parade begins at 4pm at the Tivoli Theatre and ends at Olivet Baptist Church.
