Mocs Basketball Unveils Non-Conference Schedule
(gomocs.com) Coming off its historic championship run through the NIT last season, the Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball program turns its attention to the upcoming 2025-26 campaign as the non-conference slate and home tip-off times are now complete.
Chattanooga will open the season at home inside McKenzie Arena on November 3 against Union Commonwealth (Ky.) of the NAIA ranks. The Mocs will look to claim its 500th all-time victory inside the famed Roundhouse during the season opener as the program sits at 499-152 (.766) since the inaugural game in 1982.
Following the opener, Chattanooga will play four-straight road games including another trip out west to face Saint Mary’s (CA) on November 7 before traveling to face UNLV the next day on November 8. The Mocs then head to Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 15) and South Carolina State (Nov. 19) before returning home for five-straight home games.
UTC will host North Alabama (Nov. 22) before welcoming Tennessee Wesleyan (Nov. 28) and Tennessee State (Nov. 30) over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend for the Coke Zero Sugar Classic. The Mocs round out its lengthy homestand against SEMO (Dec. 6) and NAIA-member Oakwood (AL) (Dec. 9).
Previously announced, Chattanooga will travel to Atlanta for the 2025 Holiday Hoopsgiving event held inside State Farm Arena to face perennial national power Auburn on December 13. UTC concludes the non-conference schedule with road games at Bellarmine (Dec. 17) and Alabama A&M (Dec. 21).
