Mocs Defense Staying Stingy and Ready to “Go Get the Money”
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Mocs defense has been staying stingy in recent weeks. They’ve allowed only one touchdown in their last two games.
Furman had only 151 yards of total offense last week. Mocs have been on a mission since giving up 37 points in a SoCon loss to VMI.
Said head coach Rusty Wright:”They were upset how they finished that performance in Lexington, and I think that changed how they went about practice and did some things in understanding that you can’t think that it’s just going to happen. We’ve got to go work for it and make it happen.”
Said defensive lineman Ben Brewton:”That first Tuesday back to practice. Don’t give up anything. Not even in practice. Not with the scout team. It’s a mentality. The emphasis on third down and getting off the field. Money down. It’s the money down. Got to go get the money.”
Mocs travel to Wofford on Saturday for a 1:30 pm kickoff.
