Mocs Fall to Samford Despite Career Night From David Jean Baptiste

Chattanooga’s five game winning streak was snapped Wednesday night as they fell 80-72 on the road against Samford. David Jean Baptiste poured in a career high 31 points to lead the Mocs. He was the only UTC player in double figures. Samford shot 50 percent from the field on the evening and they scored 22 points off 18 UTC turnovers. Chattanooga falls to 8-2 in the Southern Conference, dropping to second place in the league standings, a half game behind Furman’s 9-2 mark.
