Mocs Football Adds Four More Recruits on Traditional Signing Day
(gomocs.com) CHATTANOOGA—The 2023 Chattanooga Mocs signing class reach 23 members Wednesday with the addition of four high school student-athletes on National Signing Day. The 3-pronged approach to the group included 16 in the December early period followed by three new mid-year transfer prior to the start of school in early January.
The four new class members are all high school seniors from the southeast. Well, from southeastern schools anyway.
The list:
- Kam Baah-Slay, DB, Nashville (Father Ryan)
- Christian Harris, DB, Elberton, Ga. (Elbert County)
- A.J. Little, WR, Macon, Miss. (Noxubee County)
- Lukas Majer, OL, Cologne, Germany (Rabun Gap-Ga.)
The overall class is well-balanced. It includes 10 4-year transfers, one junior college and 12 high school signings. Only three additions – P Clayton Crile, DB Clay Fields III & OL Griffin McDowell – are around for a single season.
The balance of youth and experience was calculated with the bonus of getting the bulk of the class done early.
“I really like all of those guys as people,” Wright continued. “I think they are good fits for us…they’re our kind of guys. The thing is we’re still fairly young in most places. There’s not a lot of seniors on that roster. That’s 11 mid-year transfers and 12 high school guys added to a core base of people that you’ve got to have day-in and day-out to build your program.”
