Mocs Golf Team Earns NCAA Tournament Bid For First Time in Nine Yeaars

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) Might be hard dancing in golf shoes, but the Mocs golf team will glady do it.
They’re going to the NCAA tournament. UTC will play in the Auburn Regional, starting May 15th. It’s their first trip to the big dance in nine years. Cool stuff, especially since the Mocs have a new coach in Blaine Woodruff.

Last year, Chattanooga’s Paul Conroy qualified for the NCAA’s as an individual, but this year, everybody is going.

Said Woodruff:”I’m thankful for them for buying in to the culture that we were trying to Great but none of the credit goes to me. It goes to their hard work and effort throughout the year. To see if they off with a chance to do something special originals it makes me feel thrilled for them as a coach and we’re just excited to get rolling.”

Said Conroy:”I was talking with my dad today about the selection show last year and I was just watching it with one of my teammates and us are joking with him saying it was nice they will have everyone watching it together. It’s exciting to go back down there in another postseason event.”
