Mocs Golf Team Tied For 10th Place at Chattanooga Classic
(gomocs.com) CHATTANOOGA—The Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team boasts three in the top 20 heading to Tuesday’s final round of the Chattanooga Classic at Council Fire Golf Club. The ladies shot 307 today for a 2-day total of 609. They are tied for tenth at +33.
Dorota Zalewska paced the quartet with a 2-under par 70. It was a near flawless card with three birdies, 14 pars and a solitary bogey. Megan Docherty added a solid 1-over finish as Esme Hamilton and Carolina Hortian completed the team score with 78 and 86, respectively.
Docherty leads the group, tied for 13th, with 147 (+3). It’s her collegiate best for 36 holes in her first season. Zalewska and Hamilton are both tied for 18th, one shot back of Docherty, at 148.
UTSA shot a blistering 9-under 279 to move into the lead with an even-par 576. That’s two ahead of first round leader North Florida in second with 578. Hannah Holzmann (UTSA) holds a 1-stroke lead. Her 5-under 67 was the low round of the day and vaulted her into the lead at 5-under for 36 holes.
