Mocs Hope to Build Off Tough Showing Against Kentucky
The Chattanooga Mocs found out they could hang with a tough SEC team over the weekend.
UTC took Kentucky to the bell before falling 28-23.
Mocs running back Alym Ford rushed for 128-yards, while Kentucky as a team had only 102 yards rushing.
Chattanooga is off this week before starting SoCon play next week.
The Kentucky game may have been a good tune-up for conference play, but head coach Rusty Wright doesn’t want to brag about the Cats contest since Chattanooga still lost the game.
Said Wright:”A loss is a loss when it’s all said and done. Do I think. Do I think we know we can play with folks now? I would hope so. That’s the thing, you’ve got to play at that level and that effort all the time. That’s the thing. We can’t go backwards. We’ve got to keep getting better week-to-week and figure out a way to move forward.”
