Mocs QB Jacob Huesman Named SoCon Offensive Player of the Week
The Southern Conference announced on Monday that Mocs quarterback Jacob Huesman has been named the league’s offensive player of the week.
Huesman completed 24 of 36 passes for a career-high 359 yards in Chattanooga’s 38-31 win over Mercer on Saturday. The quarterback tossed two touchdown passes and also rushed eight times for 99 yards and a score in the win. Huesman now has 41 career touchdown passes, the fourth-highest total in school history. His 458 yards of total offense was a career high and helped propel the Mocs to their first 4-0 start in conference play since joining the Southern Conference in 1977.
