Mom to Mom – How To Play The Turkey Game

We’re going to teach you a fun Thanksgiving game to keep your kids out of the kitchen. We’re going to play Stuff the Turkey. Now, I found this really cool game on a kid-friendly things to do blog, and it’s really a lot of fun and your kids will play it for days and days and days. So, it’s simple. All you need is a large brown paper bag, some tissue paper, and a small brown paper bag, stapler, and of course, your glue gun. Let’s get started.

First, we’re going to start with a large paper bag. You’re going to want to take the top edge and fold it down about four inches. We’re going to pinch the bag, then fold it over, kind of like a present, and then staple it. Then you’re going to do the exact same thing on the other side.

Next comes the turkey legs. Now we get a small paper bag, wad up any kind of paper that you have lying around the house, and stuff it in there. Then you grab your white tissue paper for the booties. We’re going to twist it up and the shape of a turkey leg, kind of like you see at the fair. Get out the glue gun, put a little spot on the bag and on the turkey leg, and then you push the two together and hold it for a few seconds. Repeat all that for the second side, and then you’re done.

This is a fun thing to do with your kids or for your sanity. The game is pretty simple. There are no rules. You’re just stuffing the turkey so you can take any kind of paper that you have, and you just wad up the balls, and you make it into the turkey.
