Mom to Mom – DIY Air Freshener
Today on Mom, we are going to make our own air freshener.
If you don’t like to use candles or you don’t like spending a whole lot of money on air fresheners, we have a very inexpensive way for you to create your own air freshener that smells so good in your house, and you can put ’em anywhere you like on a budget.
So what you’re going to need for this is some mason jars, some lids with the holes in it. You can get this on Amazon or at a craft store. You can get some essential oils. Whatever flavor or smell that you like, some food coloring, you’re going to need some water Storing crystals, these are made by Miracle Grow. You can get this in the garden section at Walmart.
So what you do is for a 16 ounce jar, you’re going to take a teaspoon full of these little crystals and just dump it right into the jar. Then you’re going to fill your jar up with warm water. Once you have that ready to go, then you’re going to put in your favorite essential oil. You’re going to do about 30 drops of that, depending on how strong you want the smell. Once you’re done with that, then you’re going to put in whatever color food coloring you want in there just to give it a little extra decoration. Stir it all up. Wait about five minutes, and then you have your gel fragrance that you can stick anywhere in your house, whether it be in a closet, by your kids’ shoes, it doesn’t matter. It smells so wonderful and it’s really, really inexpensive.
