Mom To Mom – Gratitude Pumpkin
When you think Thanksgiving, you think things that you’re super thankful for. I really love this tradition and started incorporating it a couple years ago. And this is something our family looks forward to, and this is gratitude pumpkin.
So what you’re going to do is have a pumpkin. Doesn’t matter what size or what color, just pick a pumpkin. And every night as you sit down for dinner, each person in the family writes what they’re thankful for.
You can do this the whole month of November or leading up to Thanksgiving. You want to start with on the top of the pumpkin, “We are thankful for…” And then that’s when you start in a spiral and go all the way around the pumpkin until it’s completely full or until you reach Thanksgiving.
When Thanksgiving dinner comes along, you can actually use it for a really awesome centerpiece. When you’re having your meal, or if you have other family members over, they can either add to it or they can read what you have written down. It’s just a wonderful family tradition that you can all enjoy.
Hopefully you’ll enjoy this family tradition as much as we do. And if you try it, we’d love to see those pictures. You can post it to our Facebook page. If you have any questions or ideas, post them to our Facebook page, and be sure to check out our Mom To Mom page for more tips.
