Mom To Mom – Liven Up the Holiday Party with Turkey Oatmeal Cream Pies

We’re taking those prepackaged snacks and decorating them for the holidays. A lot of schools are having holiday parties, but they require the students to have prepackaged snacks. I don’t just want to send in some boring old package snacks, so I came across this really cute idea to kind of spruce it up for the holiday. Today we’re going to make Turkey Oatmeal Cream Pies.

All you’re going to need for this cute little snack are some feathers that you can actually get at the dollar store. Some googly eyes, some construction paper, a hot glue gun and, of course, scissors. You can’t forget the oatmeal cream pies. Now we can start making these cute little guys.

Take your construction paper and cut a beak and a waddle out. Then take your fall feathers and start gluing those on first and you can choose any color you want. Then flip it around to the front and hot glue your googly eyes on, and then the beak and the waddle, and voila, you got your cute little snack.

Once you get all your supplies together, it really doesn’t take that long to put these guys together. So don’t be intimidated if it’s a large class. It should maybe take you about 10 minutes total to get it all put together and you take that boring snack and turn it into a really cute Thanksgiving Turkey that your kids and their friends will enjoy.

If you do this, we’d love to see those pictures. You can post them to our Facebook page, and be sure to check out our Mom To Mom page for more tips.
