Mom To Mom – Make your Own Bath Soap
If your kids are anything like mine, they tend to get a little dirty. Here’s a really fun way to help clean them up, and it’s DIY bath soap. It’s kind of like play dough and it actually makes bubbles in the bath and you can do this with your kids. If you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your kids, have a little bonding time, and get them ready for maybe their nighttime routine for bath, this is perfect.
You just need five ingredients. You need baking soda, cornstarch, food coloring of any color, and then of course, bath time soap. Oh, and water too. I can’t forget that. That’s one of the important parts. We’re going to put this together and show you how it’s done.
All right, so we’re going to start with half a cup of baking soda. Then a half a cup of cornstarch, a half a cup of water, a fourth of a cup of bath soap. Once you put that into a mixing bowl, stir it up really well and then put in your food coloring. A couple of drops will do. Then it’s going to be in liquid form, stick it in the microwave for about two minutes. Once you pull that out and stir it a little bit, if it still sticks to the spoon, stick it in for another 30 seconds. Then pull it out and let it cool down for about 10 minutes. After that, you can shape it into a ball and then it’s bath time.
Now this is good for one use only. It will dissolve in the bathtub while your little ones are playing with it, but getting clean at the same time. Hopefully, they enjoy it as much as mine do. If you have any wonderful ideas, we’d love to hear about it. Post them to our Facebook page, and be sure to check out our Mom To Mom page for more tips.
