Mom To Mom – Mason Jar Fish Tank

We’re making a mason jar fish tank. This is such a fun activity for all ages of kids and it’s very low maintenance, plus we don’t have to fish to worry about it. It’s super cute idea.

So we’ve got mason jars that we’re going to need. You need some rocks. Uh, you can get this at any pet store or Amazon, or any kind of craft store and you can get these little, you know, seaweed looking plants and then some toy fish, and then they also have these lights that are water resistant. I got these on Amazon but I’m sure you can get them out of craft store and then we have our water, which I put a little blue food coloring in there.

Just to have a little fun with it. Um, grab the kiddos and let’s make these. So what you’re going to do is put in your rocks first. Um, and then you want to put on your little plant and then some fish or a little starfish. It’s decorated. How you, like, then pour in your water probably about halfway up to the lid.

Then you want to attach your light to the lid. Screw the lid on and boom. You have your little DIY fish tank that your kids are going to love and you don’t have to worry about food fish.

Moms, if you have any wonderful ideas like this for your kids to do during the summer, feel free to reach out to us on our Facebook page, and be sure to check out our Mom To Mom page for more tips.
