Mom to Mom – Mason Jar Fish Tank
Today on Mom to Mom we are making a mason jar fish tank. This is such a fun activity for all ages of kids and it’s very low maintenance, plus we don’t have fish to worry about. It’s a super cute idea.
We’re going to need mason jars; some rocks that you can get at any pet store, Amazon, or any kind of craft store; these little seaweed-looking plants; some toy fish; and water-resistant lights. I got these lights on Amazon but I’m sure you can get them out of a craft store. We also have our water, which I added a little blue food coloring to, just to have a little fun with it.
Now it’s time to grab the kiddos and make these fish tanks! So what you’re going to do is put your rocks in first, and then add your little plant and then some fish or a little starfish. Decorate it how you like, then pour in your water about halfway up to the lid. Once the water is poured in, attach your light to the lid and screw the lid on. Now you have your little DIY fish tank that your kids are going to love, and you don’t have to worry about the fish!
Moms, if you have any wonderful ideas like this for your kids to do during the summer, please message it to us on our Facebook page, and we’ll see you on the next Mom To Mom!
