Mom to Mom – Pizza Pan Countdown
Today on Mom’s mom, we are creating a countdown to Christmas clock using a pizza pan.
The countdown to Christmas is officially on, and you might have a ton of countdown Christmas clocks, but this one is super personal, very inexpensive, and your kids will have a blast making it. So, all you’re going to need is a pizza pan from the dollar store and some I like to use primer on these and chalk paint. I’ll use the green, but they have all different kinds of colors, but they also have the black chalk spray paint. I have each of them done. I am going to use mine as magnets on our refrigerator so the kids can get to it fairly easy, but you can put some strings on it and hang it up anywhere in your house if you’d like. I also have these large Popsicle sticks to create the arm for the countdown clock as well. So, what you’re going to do to assemble this is first start off with a primer just so that your chalk paint can kind of stick to it, which I’ve already done here, and I’ve already put my paint on.
So, the reason why I like the chalk paint is I can use a chalk pin and you can erase it and do it all over again if you want to create something else as well. Then you want to create your arm, which I have painted white. Then you want to take some scissors and kind of just cut it in an angle, and then you’re going to take your magnets, which you can get at the craft store as well. Put it on the back of that arm and it sticks right to the pizza plate. Then you can write on it however you like. Countdown clock, countdown to Christmas, Merry Christmas. Whatever you want, you make it personal to yourself. Now, I’m going to stick to magnets on the back of my pizza pan and hang it right on the refrigerator. The kids absolutely love this. I mean, who doesn’t love to count down the days to when Santa comes? Right? So hopefully you like this idea. If you have any wonderful other ideas, we’d like to hear about it. You can message us up on our Facebook page, and we’ll see you on the next month to month.
