Mom to Mom – Pool Hacks

Today on Mom to Mom, we’re gonna make pool time easier with some pool time hacks.

We’ve got some pool time hacks for you to make your life a little bit easier if you’re headed out to the pool. So first, you’re gonna wanna get a travel bag. You can get it at any store, or maybe Amazon. Then get all kinds of goodies that you would put in a pool bag and put it in this travel bag. What I’ve done is I’ve grabbed my kids’ favorite snacks. I’ve also got my sunscreen in here and some goggles. You can put money in here, so if you’re headed out to a pool where you can get some food from concessions, you can have that. We like to have some sticks in here for their drinks, like crystal light, it’s zero sugar. Just whatever your kids need and want. Fill it in this bag and then you can close it up and throw it in your pool bag. It makes your life so much easier!

Next we have a little hack to help you if you don’t have a way to blow up those pool floats. We all know that you can go to the store and buy an air pump. They’re fairly inexpensive, but if you don’t happen to have one and you don’t feel like blowing up those pool floats, this idea I found to be fairly convenient and all you need is a water bottle, a cardboard cutter, and a hair dryer. All right, so you’re gonna wanna take your water bottle, take your box cutter and kind of just cut around halfway through until it’s in half. Then you’re gonna take the top half of the water bottle and take the lid and kind of just put a little X in there to make a spot for your straw. Once you have that in, stick the straw through, then you attach the bottle to your hairdryer, put it on the cool setting. You definitely don’t want the warm setting or the hot. All hairdryers have a cool setting. So you attach it to that, put it in the float and it helps cut the blowing up time in half. That way you don’t get all lightheaded and dizzy whenever you’re trying to get your kids in the pool. Now, I will say this only works on certain floats. Some of the smaller floats have the smaller holes, which you probably wouldn’t need anyways cuz you could just blow that up yourself.

Hopefully these ideas help you. If you have any wonderful ones, we’ll put it to the test and you can message us on our Facebook page and we’ll see you on the next Mom to Mom.
