Monroe County man charged with statutory rape

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Tellico Plains man was indicted and arrested for statutory rape, the TBI said.
The TBI identified Aaron McKelvey, 21, as the suspect.
Officials said they received complaints of a man having sexual relations with an underage female. Law enforcement first asked the TBI to investigate in November.
The Monroe County Jury indicted and charged Aaron Ray Chase McKelvey on Wednesday.
He is now facing two counts of statutory rape, TBI said.
They said officers booked McKelvey into the Monroe County Jail on Thursday.
