Monroe County man taken into custody, six pounds of marijuana seized
MONROE COUNTY — A Monroe County man has been taken into custody following an investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force along with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Tactical and Narcotics Team.
Sheriff Tommy Jones says an investigation was initiated after numerous tips from Crime Stoppers, MCSO Anonymous Tip Line, and complaints regarding heavy vehicle traffic, roadways being blocked, disturbances within the community, suspected marajuana laced with fentanyl, and visible hand-to-hand drug transactions occurring at the residence.
During the search, investigators recovered approximately six pounds of marajuana, THC products including THC wax, hundreds of dosage units of opioid painkillers, drug paraphernalia, multiple firearms and cash.
Randy Harrison, who resides at the property, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Monroe County Jail on numerous felony drug and weapons charges, Jones said.
This investigation is ongoing.
