More To The Story with Staley: Farmer and the Belle

Dave talks to the stars of the Christmas movie filmed in Chickamauga

CHICKAMAUGA, Georgia (WDEF) – It’s a Christmas movie produced by a married couple who live outside of New York City, but the couple sport deep ties to our area.

90 percent of it was shot in 2019 on a farm in Chickamauga. In McLemore Cove. And released in 2020.

It’s called “The Farmer And The Belle: Saving Santaland.”

Jenn Gotzon and Jim E. Chandler are both working actors. Having acted in dozens of films.

They met……appropriately……on a movie set.!

“We met on a film set in Savannah. But it’s created a relationship full of longevity. And life. And we have a child and another one on the way!”

The film is based on Jenn and Jim’s story. How they fell in love. And everything that surrounds it. Part drama, part comedy. With lots of inspiration.

Jim’s mother grew up on a farm just down the road from here. Jim’s whole family is in the movie.

So far, Jenn says the reaction from the public has been great!

“People have been saying that it’s their new favorite Christmas movie. One little girl apparently told her grandmother that she didn’t know she was so pretty until seeing this movie. And that God made her beautiful.”

Jenn and Jim have now started a franchise which ties in with the movie. As the public can buy books and jewelry and a documentary.

The bracelett is a central theme. With a larger meaning!

“It’s a tool of great value. On it, you can read things about a woman’s beauty. And things that are grounded in truth.”

“It really helps women understand where their values come from. And that beauty is not an external thing, but beauty comes from within. So that we understand who we are.”

Jenn and Jim say that community support for making the movie was tremendous from Chickamauga and all over our area.
