Mudslide at Dade County gas station sends trees into power lines

DADE COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – The Dade Counry Sheriff’s Office confirms that a gas station was closed after portions of their parking lot slid down a hill.

This Mapco is on 299 off the I-24 Wildwood Exit in GA.

Officials say it happened Tuesday. A resident says that a sink hole formed roughly two weeks ago in this area.

It looks like a mudslide caused the trees to pull the power lines down.

The guardrail by the gas station parking lot was uprooted and is sliding down this hill.
