Multi agency Georgia pursuit ends in Monroe County TN

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A pursuit that began in Georgia crossed over state lines and ended in Monroe County.

At 11:30 p.m. December 20, 2024, Monroe County E-911 alerts Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies of a pursuit.

The E-911 alert mentioned the pursuit had began in Georgia and had now entered Tennessee.

According to MCSO, the pursuit was traveling Highway 411 and entered Monroe County with a top speed of 70 miles per hour.

One of the tires on the suspects vehicle had been deflated due to spike strips.

As the suspects speed decreased, MCSO deputies used a P.I.T. maneuver to end the pursuit.

The vehicle came to a stop in the intersection of Highway 411 and Wayman Road in Madisonville.

The suspect was then taken into custody.

The suspect is being charged with the following:

  • Reckless Endangerment (15 counts)
  • Felony Evading Arrest
  • Property Damage
