Multiple arrested in connection to Cleveland pawn shop burglary
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — Multiple arrests have been made in connection to a local Cleveland pawn shop robbery.
Video surveillance from Sonya’s Pawn Shop revealed three individuals dressed in dark clothing breaking into the shop at 2:17 a.m. October 21, 2024.
The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) the individuals left with several firearms.
Video surveillance also captured a black Kia SUV and a gray Kia SUV fleeing the scene.
The black Kia SUV was discovered shortly after the incident on APD 40 near 20th Street.
The black Kia SUV was also reported stolen.
The Cleveland Police Department (CPD) reported later in the day responded to a report of armed suspects at Tennessee Christian Preparatory Academy.
Two juveniles were arrested, and found in possession of firearms from Sonya’s Pawn Shop.
The third suspect, Syjerian Byers, was arrested during a separate incident at Blythewood Apartments.
Several firearms later confirmed to be from Sonya’s Pawn Shop were found in his possession.
