Murder-suicide leaves three dead, including one child

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – On Friday night, Chattanooga Police responded to a call for multiple people found dead inside a home on the 100th block of North Moore Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, they met with friends and family who found three people dead in the home.

Two adults and one child were found in the home, and all three were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The preliminary investigation indicates a murder-suicide that involved a 29-year-old man who shot a 25-year-old woman and her 6-year-old daughter, then shot himself.

All three lived together in the same residence, but investigators are still working on the relationships between the three people.

Chattanooga Police continues to investigate the incident further to make sure no other suspects were involved and to confirm it was a murder-suicide.
