Murray County fires school superintendent

CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WDEF) – The Murray County School Board has voted to dismiss Supt. Eric McFee.

A school spokesman tells News 12 Now the board made that decision during last night’s board meeting.

He declined to go in to reasons for the firing.

Dr. McFee has been superintendent since 2016.

He is a former principal of Gilmer High School in Ellijay.

Finance Director Steve Loughridge will act as interim superintendent.
