Murray County hoarding case update

Murray County

MURRAY COUNTY — The Murray County Georgia Animal Shelter says they still have 20-25 hounds from the hoarding case that are in need of adopters or rescues.

They encourage any rescues or experienced adopters that are interested to come by the shelter in person Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to view them.

This could allow relief for the shelter as they navigate these circumstances.

“Please be advised that these dogs have not been kept as pets. They have lived their entire lives in kennels, that is all they know. Please do not expect them to be something they are not. They will need experienced adopters, time, patience and training. We are requiring a fenced in yard and no children under 10 for hoarding case hound adoptions at this time, for the best interest of the dog and the public.”
