NAACP Holds Open Forum for Constituents

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The NAACP held its first table clinic today for the upcoming city council election.

The purpose of the clinic is to help bring together the candidates and the greater community.

So far, they have had responses from the Mayors office, Mayoral candidates David Crockett, Anthony Byrd, and Chris Long.

We spoke to Erskine Oglesby who is running for District 7. He believes that “there is a number of abandoned housing that creates opportunity for crime and unsafe living conditions. And I believe once you start addressing those issues, then you can start to build your community.”

Open house dates:

-Monday, February 13 from 9A-6P
-Tuesday, February 14 from 9A-6P
-Saturday, February 18 from 1P-3P
-Saturday, February 25 from 1P-3P
-Saturday, March 4 from 1P-3P
