Nashville council votes to reappoint Justin Jones

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Metro Council voted to reappoint Justin Jones to his seat on Monday after being expelled last week.

The crowd cheered after the council unanimously voted to reinstate Jones.

All 36 council members voted for the reinstatement.

The vote was for House District 52.

Tennessee lawmakers previously voted to expel Justin Jones and Justin Pearson on Thursday.

Pearson’s vote for potential reappointment will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
