National Day of Prayer: Catoosa County Observation
Crowd gathers to recognize the National Day of Prayer on the courthouse lawn
In observance of the National Day of Prayer, a crowd joined together on the front lawn of the Catoosa County Courthouse.
Thursday afternoon, the southern gospel group the Hullanders performed and hosted the event. This is an annual tradition put on by the Catoosa County Baptist Association (CBA).
Daniel Hyde is with the CBA, he said he believes in the power of prayer and its importance to the future of our nation.
” We’re calling on God for the help we need. We realize we’re a nation that has issues. We’re dealing with right now, the abortion questions. We’re dealing with morality questions, we’re dealing with violence and crime and all of those kinds of things. And, we need God’s help to bring peace and unity back to our nation.”
The National Day of Prayer is recognized every year on the first Thursday of May.
