Navy threatens to take back Cumberland County High Jet
CROSSVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – The City of Crossville has 90 days to save the Jet they have mounted at Cumberland High School.
The school is known as the Jets.
The Department of the Navy has notified the city that they need to perform some maintenance as part of their deal to keep the jet.
The school is actually in charge of keeping it up, so the school board will make the final call on spending the money.
The main issue seems to be the paint job.
The Navy has noted some discrepancies in the condition of the aircraft for the deal.
So officials are pricing some new air craft paint instead of the regular coat put on it last time.
